Nice time at Nicole’s baby shower and meeting Justin’s 100 family members. (I guess a few couldn’t make it!!)
We bought an easel/chalkboard for the boys for Christmas and today we did a FaceTime video and Ryan showed how well he is writing.
He wrote his name, papa, nana, Bailey so clearly. Great job Ryan!
Went on a week long trip to Nuevo Vallarta, which is just North of Puerto Vallarta Mexico. A nice resort, there are 4 on the property, and they are all part of the Vidarta Time Share properties. The Mayan Palace is probably the third best hotel. The Grand Mayan is the first, the Grand Bliss is probably the second, and the Mayan Palace is the third. best.
It was a nice resort, had a lot of good food, entertainment was nice,
They do a sunset release of baby turtles into the ocean, and were lucky enough to see that. It was pretty neat seeing the baby turtles make their way into the ocean. They swim about 50 miles out to an island, and when they are able to breed, make it back to this same shore to lay their eggs in the sand and bury them for the next generation to do the same.
My daughter Jennifer sure can plan an event. I had no idea there was going to be a surprise 60th birthday party at her house, since my birthday was on the 31st, it made it even bigger surprise. My brother Jack came out from Dallas, and few friends from El Segundo PD came.
She had a blackjack table set up, and lots of food. Great time had by all!
Happy Halloween 2017 and 60th birthday to me. Had a good time with the grandkids walking the neighborhood.
The NHL brought the Stanley Cup to Fremont Street. They had a cool interactive display of the history of hockey, as well as all the trophy's. Nice to finally get a picture with the Stanley Cup after the Kings got their name on it!

Took the boys to the ocean in Redondo Beach.
South Point has a great equestrian center, and monthly they have free shows and events. Went to see the Andalusian World Cup, and was very interesting. Beautiful horses.
Phil came back out to stay with us for about 6 weeks, as Nicole and Susan decided to give him a makeover, so there wouldn’t be a lot of Roberta memories. This is what they came up with, they did an incredible job.
Went to the Orlean’s showroom to see the Dancing with the Stars show. A good venue and the show was pretty good. Would have been nice to be elevated to see the whole stage/footwork.
Took Janis dad Phil to the Flamingo Hotel to see the plaque that they have up in the pool area for Bugsy Siegal. Very nice hotel and pool area.
Went to see the band America at the Star of David arena in Primm (Stateline) Nevada. A nice arena, and America was comprised of 3 players. 2 of them are in this version. A very good concert. Phil came with us as he’s out for a while, and we didn’t want to leave him home alone.

Saw The Rascal’s at the Golden Nugget showroom. A great 60’s band and the leader, Felix Cavalere still has it.
An outstanding singer and spot on as Johnny Cash.
Michelle and Kelsey Rindler came to Vegas so we were able to go to lunch with them and Phil. Good to catch up with them. They lived in Colorado but I think we only got together about 5 times while we were there.
Went to Reynolds Hall downtown and saw Derek and Jullianne Hough’s show “Lets Dance”. A good high energy show.

Today was Janis’ birthday, and coincidentally, our good friends Tim and Sue came out to Vegas from Colorado with their friends, so we met them downtown for dinner and to hang out a bit.
