The 1.9 trillion covid relief bill passed the Senate on Saturday with no Republican senators voting for it. They bitched and asked for amendments added to the bill. But once added, still didn’t vote for it. The bill it went to the House today, and was passed without any Republican members voting for it.

Merrick Garland was confirmed by the Senate today as Attorney General with a vote of 70/30.

Can’t believe what is transpiring with Twitter. One of the newly sworn in republican house members, Laura Boebart, who is from Rifle, Co (how appropriate, right?); was seen taking a group on a tour of the Capitol on the day before the insurrection.

She was told during the insurrection along with everyone else to not broadcast any locations on social media, for obvious reasons. She tweeted on her feed that Pelosi left the chambers. Why would she have any reason to do that if not for alerting someone that you don’t have to look in the chambers for her as she isn’t here anymore.

Trump; has lost 50 court cases trying to overturn Biden’s election win.. But the Attorneys General of 16 states and 106 (now 126) Republicans in Congress signed up to have a case sent to the Supreme Court to have the election results overturned and have Trump declared the winner. About 35 of those in Congress actually were on the ballot this past November to get elected or re-elected. So if the Supreme Court actually heard the case, and ruled in Trump’s favor, they would lose their election.

How fucking idiotic is that!

57 Years Ago Today.

57 years ago today on Friday November 22, 1963, I was in 1st grade at Nativity Catholic school. At about 1130 am they announced over the loud speaker that was up in each classroom, that president Kennedy was killed in Dallas I remember the Nativity school principal Sr. Mary Dennis crying when she came in the classroom.

I remember on Sunday getting out of church and hearing that his supposed killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, was killed.

Our family, being Irish Boston Catholics, were kind of fond of JFK. My brother Jack was named after him. I probably have read every book on the assassination.

I remember when my uncle Joe would come out to visit us and we would go walk to the beach and back to the house. I would ask him who killed JFK (Joe and my aunt Betty both worked at the NSA. He would just laugh..
