57 years ago today on Friday November 22, 1963, I was in 1st grade at Nativity Catholic school. At about 1130 am they announced over the loud speaker that was up in each classroom, that president Kennedy was killed in Dallas I remember the Nativity school principal Sr. Mary Dennis crying when she came in the classroom.
I remember on Sunday getting out of church and hearing that his supposed killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, was killed.
Our family, being Irish Boston Catholics, were kind of fond of JFK. My brother Jack was named after him. I probably have read every book on the assassination.
I remember when my uncle Joe would come out to visit us and we would go walk to the beach and back to the house. I would ask him who killed JFK (Joe and my aunt Betty both worked at the NSA. He would just laugh..
