Blake Shelton at the Forum February 17, 2017

Saw Blake Shelton at the fabulous forum in Inglewood, CA. Haven’t been back here since the Kings played their last game here. Seats are still horrible, the bathroom and food venues are too few and far between. Blake was great.

It was POURING rain driving to the concert. We stayed at Jenn and Neil’s and ate dinner beforehand at Paco’s in West L.A. Almost missed the start of the concert as there was so much rain and of course, parking lot at the forum SUCKS.

Carlos Santana at Mandalay Bay January 30, 2017

Saw Carlos Santana and Mandalay Bay. Awesome show, he can still play a mean guitar. Good intimate venue, there are a lot of SRO (Standing Room Only) tickets, and need to remember to not get them and be on our feet the whole time.

The Spanish Peaks

One of my favorite drives when I worked for Colorado POST was west on Highway 50 past the Spanish Peaks Mountains West of Walsenburg.. I always crank up my buddy Joh Chandler’s song of the same title while I’m driving past here. Jon and Pat have some land out here, and his ancestors are from this area. He wrote an awesome song and book about this area. The link is for the book on Amazon. com, I highly recommend it.

Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Fiddler's Green May 18, 2013

Went to Fiddler’s Green in Greenwood Village for a concert to see Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Randy Hauser who was the opening act. Had great seats as you can see by the picture. This venue is open air, and being May, could be pretty dicey with the afternoon spring thunderstorms.

We’ve been here before, to see Brad Paisley, but I can’t remember the date.

This venue reminds me of the Greek Theatre, as it’s right in the middle of the residential neighborhood, and a bit like Pacific Amphitheatre, as there is grass seating.

Kenny Chesney - Cheyenne Frontier Days July 24, 2010

We saw Kenny Chesney at Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. The concert was after a long day of watching and shooting the rodeo. We got great tickets for him, which was a mistake as we were in standing room in front of the stage, and it was probably 5 hours standing on our feet in a packed place. Horrible and Janis vowed we would never get best seats at that location ever.

George Winston at Cheyenne Civic Center

Heading up to Cheyenne Wyoming to sit front row at the Cheyenne Civic Center Performing Arts Theatre and watch George Winston in concert. Gonna have a great meal at the Plains Hotel first though!.

The Plains hotel has a really nice restaurant and they have an awesome chicken dish with roasted Yukon potatoes.

Winston was good, never had been a fan, but Janis likes him, it was a nice concert.
