The vaccine finally got to the age 65 age group, so after we got back from California Janis logged onto the Walgreens website. She was able to get an appointment. I logged in, as the was only one question, are you older than 65? There was no “underlying conditions”. I called the state’s 800 phone number to see if I could get it with her, but they say it is only for age 65 or older. It’s weird, as when Janis did the survey, one of the questions was do your have any underlying conditions? Stupid that if you have to be age 65 to get it, who gives a shit if you have any issues.
yesterday was Janis’ appointment, and she had to fill out a 2 page form. I printed out the form too, as I figured there might be no shows. Sure enough, our pharmacist, that we are on a first named basis with, called up a half hour before the appointment and said there were extra doses and I could get it too.
It was the Pfizer vaccine, and the next dose will be April 2nd.
Janis started getting a headache after about 6 hours, and she still has it. She gets them for other reasons too, like weather fronts coming in (change in pressure) so we don’t know if it’s due to that or not.
