I went through Gunnison area for work on December 4th. Had one exam in La Junta and the other in Grand Junction, so had a nice drive up Monarch pass and down the other side. Gunnison had no snow whatsoever, but the skies were spectacular and I had to stop to take a photo.
This was a 3 photo montage stitched together.
Where have I been?? I've not posted a blog post since February?? thats unreal! Time sure flies when you are working your tail off. I started a full time job in April with the Attorney General's office. Working and travelling all over the state, but haven't really been able to take some photos. I will be driving a lot in December, all over the state, so will try to get some awesome winter landscapes.
Here's a photo I took of Mt. Sneffels right after the peak of foliage.
Had the chance to photograph some horses this week., which I love to do. Every year I go out to Craig to shoot the wild horse roundup in May., and I've had a chance to shoot some horse jumping competitions. Here are some of the photos taken this week.

Came out to Los Angeles this week, 2 Kings game, visit with the family, and home again. Kings played Washington Capitals on Monday and we were not looking forward to it as the Kings had gotten shut out by Columbus on Saturday 1-0. (the worst team in the league) and the caps were one of the highest scoring teams in the league but we ended up winning it anyway! Last nite we went to Hollywood Park racetrack to the Kings annual "Meet the Players" event where you can stand in line to get something signed, get a picture taken with the player., etc. Funny that I probably lived 8mi away from Hollywood park racetrack for 40+ years and never went there to watch a race. Nice event but they really need to either stop having free food or make the food better, as what they gave you was pretty much inedible. (I tossed it and didn't eat what they gave you, a free hot dog (probably 1/2 the size of the smallest hot dog you can get in an 8-pack in the grocery store, and nachos which consisted of a package of cold cheese sauce and a bag of chips. If you are going to do something for the season ticket holders, make it meaningful or just give us the chance to say hi to the players and get a picture and then we won't have to bitch and moan about the bad food at the events.
Drove to Aguanga after the event to see my inlaws for a few days, Aguanga is 25mi E of Temecula and I think Aguanga is indian for "east of nowhere". Nice to see them and hang out with all the horses (they live on a 39 acre ranch). Wish I could have seen Jennifer and Neal this trip but unfortunately they start softball today (Wed) and that was the only day that we could see them since we have hockey game Mon/Thurs and the meet the players event on Tuesday.
