I went up to Alaska this weekend - 3 day weekend so why not go 3700 miles away??  LOL

You take a float plane 3 1/2 hrs west of Anchorage to Katmai National Park, and when we get off the plane, the pilot said see you in an hour and a half!  It cost 600.00 for the flight.  I told him "I didn't spend 600.00 and this family (family of 4 from Thosand Oaks, CA) didn't pay 2400.00 for an hour and a half.  I said we'll see you in 4 hours.  

Katmai national park is an amazing place - here are a few photos I took of  the bears and the salmon - I would love to do that every 3 day weekend - just go to a different part of the country and take some photos ..
